BBC TV

The BBC hourly news summaries are apparently presented from the newsroom.

To avoid disrupting the newsroom during broadcast a virtual backing was created and a newsroom view loop was recorded.
The virtual image is a composite of the 'real' interior architecture of the BBC's Stage 6 Development modified by scenic alterations and enhanced with computer generated graphics.

The summaries can be broadcast from the same studio as the main One o'clock, Six and Ten o'clock News in a green screen corner. There is no set and strike delay or set storage expense.
